Who doesn't love an adventure of a lifetime?
This year, we've partnered with Grand To Grand Ultra, a six-stage, seven-day, 275km foot race across the remotest parts of Continental America.
Life changing, grueling and awe-inspiring, the race will seriously challenge every person who takes part, which is why CurraNZ is the perfect supplement for such a task.
Day-in, day-out, CurraNZ is a reliable companion to accelerate recovery, increase endurance and prevent GI upsets. Already proven in these events, our well-researched supplement is the big gun for when the going gets tough.
We couldn't be more proud to have two CurraNZ ultra-runners taking part in the event, which starts on the North Ridge of the Grand Canyon on September 22 and finishes on the Pink Cliffs, the top layer of the Grand Staircase, on September 28.
Dr Inia Raumati, a stage-race legend seeking remarkable world record
The emergency doctor from Auckland is over halfway in his bid to become the first person in the world to run a self-supported, multi-stage ultra-marathon on every continent, in a single year.
Known as the 'Maori Running Doctor', Dr Raumati is one of the only people on the planet who has run the '4 Desert Grand Slams', 250km races across the Sahara, Gobi, Atacama and the Antarctic.
This extraordinary Kiwi is also a devoted campaigner and fundraiser to support Maori Youth - listen to his fantastic podcast with G2G Ultra here.
Dr Kate Cush
Also an emergency doctor, Kate Cush, from Australia, is heading to the Grand To Grand Ultra off the back of a busy 2024 campaign.
Seventh female in the Tarawera 100-miler in February, Kate has also raced in the Paris marathon, Ultra Trail Australia this year and was first female home in the Vietnam Ultra (80K) and Costa Brava Stage Run (3 days).
She came across CurraNZ as a sponsor of the Grand To Grand and started testing the product's benefits.
Fresh from racing the Sydney Ultramarathon (50K), Glenbrook Trail Marathon and City To Surf in the last three weeks, Kate reports, "I’ve recovered a lot faster after these events than previous years.
"I just started taking them after UTA and felt like I hadn't even run 100km - the following week was fine.
"I feel like I have avoided all the respiratory illnesses that my colleagues have picked up. I work in Emergency so we see a lot of people with colds/flus/Covid etc but I have remained healthy.
"My weekly distance has a more stable profile than before, I can maintain a higher weekly distance, which will be important for Grand To Grand in 4 weeks' time. I have also found more energy to join in more regular Crossfit/strength sessions, so I am feeling stronger.
"I have not had any GI issues on any of the events, whether in heat or cold. I would recommend them to athletes and people just wanting to keep their immune system fit."
We wish Inia and Kate all the best in their American adventure and will share updates next month.
