    Week four of Get Fit with Alex

    Hello get fit fans, we are now on week four of Get Fit with Alex and starting to close in on our 5km trial. 

    It’s now more important than ever to keep our recovery strong – I’ve been using CurraNZ daily to for this reason and keep me moving forward with the program. If you have not yet tried CurraNZ click HERE to get yours. 

     

    As its week four, we are pushing forward with the longer intervals and should now be feeling as comfortable as we can in the sessions. 

     

    Monday: Rest Day.

    Tuesday: Training Day 10

    Keeping with the last few sessions we are running a 3x 8-minute intervals with a 2 minute recovery.

    Run 8 mins, walk 2 mins. Repeat 3 times

    Total Training Time: 30 Mins

     

    Wednesday: Rest Day.

     

    Thursday:  Training Day 11

     

    Today we switch up our usual format and will be running 2 sets of 10 minutes with a 2 minute walk and then at the end of the session finish with a 5 minute run. 

    Run 10 mins, walk 2 mins. Repeat twice, then run for 5 mins.

    Total Training Time: 29Mins

     

    Friday and Saturday: Rest Day. 

     

    Sunday:  Training Day 12

     

    For our Sunday session we have a repeat of Monday’s 8-minute intervals with the 2 minute recoveries. 

    Run 8 mins, walk 2 mins. Repeat 3 times

    Total Training Time: 30 Mins

     

     If you have completed all the sessions this week you will have completed 1 hour and 29 minutes of training. Get plenty of rest and recover in as next week we move up to 12-minute intervals!
