Customer featured on BBC for superb marathon exploits at age 71

    on August 10, 2018
WORD has reached us that BBC Radio Humberside and the BBC North TV recently featured marathoner and CurraNZ customer, Geoffrey Thornes, for their radio and TV news programs.

Our October Customer of the Month, Geoff, 71, returned to marathon racing in 2017, after a break of almost three and a half decades. A veteran of 25 marathons, Geoff was a member of the winning team at the British Championships in 1977.

Earlier this summer, the retired police officer took part in the Hull Half Marathon in June, where he won his age group 'easily' and broke the two-hour barrier with a time of 1:55.01.

Geoff says: "They spent four hours filming before, during and after the race and also took me into their studio for a radio interview, it was unbelievable."

He has three marathons and a sub-four-hour time in his sights, Hull in September, Yorkshire in October and Edinburgh in May.

The CurraNZ advocate takes two capsules a day and swears by the product for its recovery benefits. The Hull runner has increased his training program significantly since starting on the product early 2017.

"The training's going well, I'm running about 75 miles a week, although it's been hard in this heat. I ran 4:17 in last year's Manchester Marathon so I'd like to break the four-hour mark if I could."
